The 30th round of the Latvian Premier League championship was unsuccessful for football clubs associated with Pierīgas districts. The losses were experienced by both the football players of the sports club “Super Nova”/Salaspils and the club “Auda” of Ķekava.
“Super Nova”/Salaspils team took the lead in the home game against “Riga FC” in the 12th minute after a precise pass by Robert Zelmanis, but at the end of the first half, the Riga team responded with two goals, and scored two more after the break – 1:4.
FK “Auda” visited the lower-ranked FK “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” team on Saturday, lost in the 15th minute and, playing rather toothless in attack, could not get at least a point – 0:1. This was Audai’s first loss after a four-game winning streak.
In the Premier League tournament table, in which “Valmiera FC” holds the first place (70 points in 29 games), FK “Auda” takes a stable fifth place (47 points in 30 games), and “Super Nova”/Salaspils – the last tenth (18 points. 30 sp.).
In the 20th round of the First or Future League of Latvia, in the match between FK Salaspils and Riga FC-2, no goals were scored (0:0), but the team of the United Football Academy “Olaine” experienced a 1:4 away loss against “Valmiera FC- 2” unit – the only goal for Olainians was scored by Ričards Kauliņš at the beginning of the second half, achieving a 1:2 result at that time.
In the table, the two Pieriga teams are side by side with 19 points – “Olaine” is in ninth position and “Salaspils” is in tenth position.
The Mārupe Sports Center team won an exciting victory over the players of the Jēkabpils Sports Center on Saturday in the A Group (eight best clubs) tournament of the second league of Latvia. After the first half, the Marupians lost 0:2, in the middle of the second half in 13 minutes Pierre Okende scored twice and Kirill Zakharovs once – and the guests were already in the lead. In the 87th minute, the people of Jēkabpils equalized the result, but at the very end of the compensation time, after a free kick, Okende scored the winning goal – 4:3.
In the tournament of group B, the football players of Babīte sports club celebrated a convincing victory, defeating the “FC Gauja” team with 4:0 in Valmiera. It was Matīss Spunde, Arturs Avins, Tigrans Dadamyans and Makars Pujacs.
In group A, the leaders with 17 points in 7 games are the footballers of FK “Ķekava/Auda”, while the Mārupe sports center team has risen to seventh place (6 points, 8 points). Babīte sports club is in 4th place (respectively, twelfth) in group B.
In the women’s football league, the mutual match was played by both Pieriga teams – FK “Olaine” and FK “Auda”. In the first half, with two goals in two minutes, Nikola Brahmane and Madara Vigante put the girls in the lead, however, in the second half, two goals by Linda Sazanova allowed the girls to draw 2:2.
The two lost points did not prevent the football players of FK “Olaine” from returning to the third place in the table – in the battle for bronze, two rounds before the end, both they and the SK “Super Nova”/RTU team have 23 points in 16 games each. FK “Auda” is in fifth position with 16 points.
Finally, FC Talsi and RFS/Babīte sports club teams tied 1:1 in the 1st Women’s League tournament for 6th-10th place. Polina Vorobyova stood out for the guests with an accurate broadcast. In the table, Babīte’s footballers occupy the eighth place (11 p. 8 sp.), but in the last 10th place is FK “Sigulda” (0 p.), which lost 0:1 to the sports club “Imanta” on Sunday.
