Successful judoka: Aibling-Grafing is state league champion

Mission successfully completed: The Kampfgemeinschaft Aibling-Grafing beat Sportfreunde Friedberg 12:8 on Saturday and thus won the final round of the state judo league. With this victory, promotion to the Bayernliga is now complete.

Aibling-Grafing won the first round 6:4. With victories by the “big boys” Daniel Messelberger and Till Goldammer as well as Valentin Larasser (-90) it was already 3:0. The momentum was now actually on the side of the visiting team, but was briefly interrupted by an injury-related defeat by Hendrik Eichner. The lightweight fighters (Kilian Daller, Ian Störmer) continued the winning streak with great ippons before Friedberg scored two points with two experienced fighters in the -73 class. Philipp Ampletzer (-81) got the last point for the KG.

Round two was just as successful for Aibling-Grafinger KG. Scored this time: Robert Buendowski, Daniel Messelberger, Valentin Larasser, Kilian Daller, Ian Stromer and Philipp Ampletzer. The junior fighters used also showed a great performance. It was also pleasing that the team was “full” so that no point had to be given to the other team without a fight.

At the end of a fair and friendly day of fighting, it was 12:8 for Aibling-Grafing, the joy of the championship title and the associated promotion to the Bavarian league is great. In the Bayernliga – followed by the 2nd and 1st Bundesliga – some well-known and strong opponents: Abensberg II, Erlangen 2, Harteck Munich, Rötz, Eltmann and Aschaffenburg.

Despite the defeat, the Sportfreunde Friedberg also had something to celebrate: their 40th department anniversary, to which KG Aibling-Grafing was invited after the competition.
