The match that will be starred today by the champion Instituto de Córdoba and the promoted -and also Cordovan- Independiente de Oliva, will formally open the 2022-2023 season of the National Basketball League (LNB).
The meeting will take place from 7:30 p.m. at the Ángel Sandrín stadium in the Cordoba capital. There will be television by the TyC Sports signal.
Instituto, directed by DT Lucas Victoriano, is the current winner of the title, after defeating Quimsa de Santiago del Estero in the final of the last season (3-2).
The rojiblanco team will show today as reinforcements the pivot winger Phillip Lockett (Peñarol de Mar del Plata) and the forward Bautista Lugarini (Valencia B, Spain). In addition, Juninense power forward Nicolás Romano, who was one of the figures in the last LNB finals, could join the champion team, after his recent separation from Venezuelan basketball.
On the other hand, the perimeter player Mateo Chiarini (strong contracture in the back) will not be available, nor will Leandro Vildoza or Martín Fernández, who still continue to compete with their respective teams in the Venezuelan Basketball Super League.
On the other side will be the promoted Independiente, champion of the last Argentine League, who kept the base of his squad. In the Cordovan team, the native of Sauce (Corrientes), the pivot wing Franco Alorda will perform.
Local tournament
