Spanish badminton is one of the protagonists of the VII International Congress on ADEE (Achondroplasia and other skeletal dysplasias with dwarfism), which takes place from this Sunday to Wednesday the 11th in Gijón. This is an event organized by the ALPE Foundation that will be held in the Palacio de Congresos of the ‘Luis Adaro’ fairgrounds.

About 600 people are expected to participate, including the national parabadminton coordinator, Miguel Ángel Polo, and the national team player, Iván Segura. This Sunday afternoon, the technician and the international medalist will carry out an activity with 40 short children.

Among the participants are family groups who come to the meeting to learn about the latest advances related to achondroplasia and the problems, not only medical, that this entails. The congress also offers attendees the possibility of consulting their case, or that of their family member, free of charge, with one of the experts who have traveled to Gijón for the congress. The families are mostly Spanish, but they also come from other countries.

The congress will be organized in discussion tables of experts, workshops and parallel activities, among which is the delivery of the V ALPE Awards for the best work in favor of people with ADEE and meetings between various groups of organizations in the world.
