Santiago Lorenzo integrates the Argentine team in the Odesur Games – Diario San Rafael

The Argentine Table Tennis Federation made official the table tennis delegation that will represent the country at the Asunción 2022 South American Games, organized by Odesur. The player from our city, Santiago Lorenzo, appears on the payroll.

The Odesur Games that got underway this weekend will have table tennis playing their competitions from next Sunday, October 9 to Thursday, October 14, at the Paraguayan National Sports Secretariat (SND) venue, precisely in the Asuncion city.

Those summoned are Horacio Cifuentes, Gastón Alto and Santiago Lorenzo from San Rafael among the men and Camila Kaizoji, Candela Molero, Camila Arguelles among the women. They will be accompanied by Gustavo Levisman and Matías Alto as coaches.

It is worth noting that the competition will have seven podiums at stake, taking into account that a team event will be played in both branches, male and female singles and doubles also for both branches, in addition to mixed double.

It should be remembered that, in Cochabamba 2018, Argentina garnered a gold medal and two bronze medals, since Gastón Alto and Horacio Cifuentes won the men’s doubles. In addition, they finished in third position in the team event together with Pablo Tabachnik, while Cifuentes together with Camila Argüelles also won bronze.

On the other hand, the participation in the Pan American Championship to be held in Santiago de Chile from October 31 to November 6 was also announced. There will be Horacio Cifuentes, Gastón Alto, Santiago Lorenzo, Francisco Sanchi, Camila Kaizoji, Candela Molero, Camila Arguelles and Ana Codina.
