San Luis athletes stand out at the XII South American Games 2022

So far, they have won seven medals in chess, judo and women’s futsal from Claudia Amura, Agustina Lahiton and Melina Quevedo. This Friday it will be Bruno De Genaro’s turn in the 400m hurdles, while James Parker will seek to secure a medal with the Argentine handball team.

The 2022 South American Games entered the final stretch and, therefore, each of the disciplines will define their champions in the remainder of the competition.

a legion of San Luis athletes traveled to Paraguay to represent the country and the province and they are not going unnoticed. . . . The GMI Claudia love, one of the referents of chess in the province, won two gold and two silver medals over the weekend.

On Tuesday, Agustina Lahiton won the bronze in the category of up to 53 kilograms. Meanwhile, on Thursday she repeated herself with the mixed team, which beat Colombia 4-2 and climbed to third place on the podium.. Keisy Perafán was 5th in the category of up to 48 kilograms.

At the close of business this Thursday, Melina Quevedo, Juan Llerena’s player, scored a goal in Argentina’s 6-0 win over Chile in women’s futsal. With this result, the National Team and the San Luis won the silver medal. Paraguay was champion, while Uruguay completed the podium.

But this will not be all, because this Friday Bruno De Genaro will go for a new conquest in the 400 meter hurdles starting at 20:05. The “Cardinal” won his series in the semifinals with a time of 52:32, and now he will seek to write a new page in the history of San Luis sport.

In turn, James Parker along with the Argentine men’s handball team will face Uruguay this Friday and, if they win, they will secure a medal.

On Saturday they will define their position against Chile, which leads the positions along with the albiceleste team.
