Salah marks the fastest “hat-trick” in the history of the UEFA Champions League

Salah scored three goals in Liverpool’s crushing 7-1 (1-1) win over Glasgow Rangers and came on as a substitute.

Salah scored the hat trick in six minutes and 12 seconds, beating Bafetimbi Gomis’ previous record. The Frenchman scored three goals in less than eight minutes in the 2011 match, in which the French “Olympique” from Lyon defeated “Dinamo” Zagreb from Croatia with 7:1.

Scott Arfield scored the only goal for “Rangers” in the 17th minute in Glasgow, but in the rest of the game “Liverpool” scored seven unanswered goals.

In the 24th minute, the result was equalized by Roberta Firmin, who put the English team in the lead in the 55th minute as well. In the continuation of the match, Salah collected a hat-trick, while Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott each scored one ball in the opponent’s goal.

After four rounds of matches, the leader of subgroup A is “Napoli”, which has accumulated 12 points and secured the round of 16. The second place is occupied by “Liverpool” with nine points, followed by “Ajax” with three points, but the “Rangers” unit has not got any points and ranks in the fourth position.

“It will definitely lift the mood. It’s good,” said Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp after the game about Salah’s hat trick and the team’s convincing victory. “We all know what awaits us on Sunday. Of course it will be a different game, but it’s better to go into it with the emotions we got today.”

As you know, Liverpool will meet the champion Manchester City on Sunday as part of the Premier League.
