Rob Pelinka agreed with the Lakers until the 2025-2026 season

Rob Pelinka will continue as chief operating officer of the Los Angeles Lakers until at least the 2025-2026 season, as the executive has reached an agreement with the club this Sunday.

Pelinka’s deal is now set to expire at the same time as that of new head coach Darvin Ham, who signed a four-year deal this offseason.

It should be remembered that Pelinka was heavily criticized for the Lakers’ poor season last season and especially for being the one who brought Russel Westrbook to the Californian team.

The Lakers hired Pelinka as general manager in 2017, operating under then-executive vice president of basketball operations Magic Johnson. The former NBA power broker took over the Magic in January 2020 and also kept the GM job.
