Transferred this summer from PSG to West Ham, Thilo Kehrer does not regret his career choice.
Former PSG defender Thilo Kehrer is happy to have opted for West Ham during the last transfer window. The Germany international joined the Hammers for €12m last summer, forfeiting the Champions League in the process. But it’s a choice he absolutely does not regret.
“The Premier League is the Champions League”
In an interview at Sky Germany, he said: “I thought about what made the most sense for me during the summer. Of course, I wanted to have as much playing time as possible, at as high a level as possible”. The C1, which he played without interruption for four years, will no longer be on his menu. But he doesn’t care. Because in the Premier League, there are “a lot of matches at the level of the Champions League” according to him.
“I found a very, very good base at West Ham,” added the German full-back, reassuring about his adaptation. The first complicated game he had in the English top flight, where he caused a penalty, is already ancient history.
