Police Know FIFA Bans Tear Gas in Stadiums, But…

Chairman of the East Java PSSI Asprov Ahmad Riyadh confirmed that the police actually knew the rules for prohibiting the use of tear gas in stadiums. The rules are contained in the FIFA Stadium Safety and Security Regulations in Article 19 b.

“The police know about the FIFA tear gas SOP. But there is a crowd handling SOP because inside and outside the stadium there are crowds of people, many who enter,” said Riyadh as reported by Reuters. detikJatimWednesday (5/10/2022).

Riyadh admits that so far it has also carried out socialization of the ban on tear gas. This is also known by the competition organizing committee (panpel).

“The socialization has been carried out, we asked the results of the Panpel that were examined,” he explained.

According to him, this issue has also been discussed jointly between PSSI, the police, and the TNI. They formulate new things about football matches.

“We and the TNI and Polri are formulating new things, because of an order from the President, this league is suspended until there is a new format regarding competition and security. That will be adjusted. So how the future will also change,” he said.
