Photos of the children of the NBA icon

Enough for a basketball team, so to speak! NBA legend Scottie Pippen has had eight children over the years and has shared photos of his brood over and over again.

The NBA icon started his family in 1987 when his then-girlfriend (and future nullipara) Karen McCollum gave birth to their only child, Antron Pippen. Although the couple tied the knot a year later, their relationship was short-lived and the two divorced in 1990. Scottie announced in the fourth month of 2021 that Antron died at the young age of 33.

“I am heartbroken to report that I said goodbye to my first born son Antron yesterday. We both shared a love of netball and had countless conversations about the game,” the former Chicago Bulls player shared on social media. “Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I truly believe he would have made it into the NBA. He never let that get him down, even though Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I’m so proud of the man he’s become.”

In 1994, Scottie welcomed two more children – twins Taylor and Tyler – this time with model Sonya Roby. However, Tyler died nine days after her birth.

In February 1995, Scottie welcomed daughter Sierra with then-fiancé Yvette De Leon — and two years later he tied the knot with Larsa Pippen, with whom he welcomed sons Scotty Jr. (born 2000), Preston (born 2002). was called ), Justin (born 2005) and daughter Sophia (born 2008).

Following in his father’s athletic footsteps, Scotty Jr. became a renowned basketball player at Vanderbilt University in Nashville before signing his first NBA contract in the month of summer solstice 2022. This month, the Los Angeles Lakers signed two sons of basketball legends, and Scotty Jr. joined the ranks with Shaquille O’Neal’s son Shareef O’Neal.

“I’m very proud of him,” Scottie told People in September 2022. “Because dad I can’t take him or take him further on the seat. Eventually I grabbed my own grand piano and left, and he’s about to do it.”

As for Scotty Jr., he always remembers that his father had his back.

“I’m so used to people always wanting his pics and autographs, that’s why I’ve been all my life now,” said the Lakers player to the outlet. “However, even when I was in college, we used to talk every day. He went to all my games.”
