The Philadelphia Phillies have won the first game of the World Series in Major League Baseball (MLB) and have a 1-0 lead in the series best of seven series. At the Houston Astros, the guests were already 0: 5 behind on Friday evening (local time), but thanks to a catch-up race they turned the game into a 6: 5 success. The Phillies became the first team in 20 years to close a five-run deficit and win a World Series game.

It was the Astros’ first loss in the playoffs. The second duel will take place again in Texas on Saturday (local time), on Sunday game three will take place in Pennsylvania. Whoever gets four wins first secures the championship title.
