Pelicanos win match against Guaycuras in the last second

The Pelicanos team from Cabo San Lucas received the Guaycuras team from La Paz in a match that was full of passion, adrenaline and extraordinary basketball by both teams, who from the first second made the stands that gathered to enjoy the this South Californian classic.

Since the dispute for the first ball, the Pelicans team came out with a knife between their teeth and it is just that their recent incorporation and old acquaintance of the Sanlúcar fans, Isaiha Hobss stole her first ball and placed the first 2 points in the electronic at 2 second of activities, an indication that the game would be full of emotions.

On the part of the visitors, Cairo Brown #3 from Guaycuras and the old acquaintance James Milton #17 were the 2 most outstanding players, however, Milton is still very irregular when he is at the free throw line and just this loss of opportunities is what generates that in the end the result is not favorable to them.

The last quarter began with a difference of 9 points, 68 to 59 in favor of the locals, however, and based on good basketball and effort by the people of La Paz, the difference was shortened second by second, but the inconsistencies of Milton # 17 at the free throw line caused that at least in 8 attempts they could not add, a crucial issue when he is your player with the most leaks to the table.

The last second was lived intensely, since the difference was still a single point and with the ball in possession of the visitors. The ball was put into play with James Milton, who got back on the table, but instead of shooting he assisted Hurtado #15 who took a long time to make his shot and time ended up giving the victory to the feathered ones, who continue with a firm step on his way to the playoff’s.

At the end of the game we had the opportunity to talk with the player of the match, Isaiha Hobbs, about how he felt about returning home to reinforce the Pelicanos and this is what he told us.

“I feel good about returning home, I love the fans who are always supportive and I love Cabos San Lucas, Paco (president of Pelicanos) called me and said hey, would you like to come home? And I told him, let’s do it and I’m very happy and grateful for it.”

When asked if the Pelicanos aspired to the Play Offs, Hobbs commented that definitely yes, but that they had to go step by step and game by game.

“Yes, it is the way to go, but we have to go game by game making good games and working one by one each game”.

This is how Pelicanos closes a round night with the incorporation of their star player and with a victory at home against a division rival that is never easy to beat.
