PARTICIPATE IN THE 2022 EDOMÉX BASKETBALL CUP!

Zinacantepec, State of Mexico; October 03, 2022.-

PFor the third year, the Edoméx Basketball Cup will be held, with the aim of promoting and fostering this sports discipline in the entity and whose organization is in charge of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the General Directorate of Physical Culture and Sports.

This tournament will take place in three phases; the first that starts in the month of October with the municipal stage and in which each City Council will designate the sports facilities where the meetings will be held.

Once the champion teams have been defined in the municipal stage, they will go on to a regional stage that will take place in the month of November, at a venue to be defined and where the quintets that participate in the last phase will be determined.

The state final stage, in which the best teams from each region will face each other, will take place in December, with the venues being the “General Agustín Millán Vivero” Sports Development Center, in Toluca, the Ciudad Deportiva Edoméx, in Zinacantepec , and the “Martín Alarcón Hisojo” Sports Unit (La Hortaliza), in Metepec.

Regarding the competition system, for the municipal stage it will be the responsibility of each municipality, while for the regional and state phases it will be determined by the General Directorate of Physical Culture and Sports, according to the number of teams registered in each category and branch.

For this edition of the Edoméx Basketball Cup, the categories called are 13-12 years old (2009-2010), 15-14 years old (2007-2008) and 16-17 years old (2006-2005), this in order to promote the sports talent of young people in sports burst and contribute to their healthy development.

Likewise, the Edoméx Cups offer the possibility that these young people can be taken into account so that in the future they will be part of the state selections.
