Padel: Sixteen Belgians will defend the colors of Belgium in Dubai in early November

(Belga) Sixteen Belgians will defend the colors of Belgium at the padel world championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from October 31 to November 5, the Flemish wing of the Belgian tennis federation announced on Monday.

They will be eight for men and eight for women, classified by the International Padel Federation (IFP). The best in the world for both men and women are Spanish and monopolize almost exclusively the top 100 (with representatives from Argentina and Brazil to a much lesser extent). The best ranked in the Belgian selection are Helena Wyckaert, 81st in the world, and Clément Geens, 173rd. This is made up of Bram Coene (IFP 549) Maxime Deloyer (IFP 207), Jeremy Gala (IFP 465), Clément Geens (IFP 173), Laurent Montoisy (IFP 1487), Jérôme Peeters (IFP 189), Joris De Weerdt (IFP 510) and Alec Witmeur (IFP 465), as well as Laura Bernard (IFP 357), Elyne Boeykens (IFP 295), Dorien Cuypers (IFP 227), Astrid Dierckx (IFP 514), An-Sophie Mestach (IFP 178 ), Babette Wyckaert (IFP 252), Helena Wyckaert (IFP 81) and Michelle Van Mol (IFP186). For six days, sixteen nations will compete with more than a hundred players present in Dubai in a biennial competition by country which will be in its 16th edition.
