Orienteering, archery, and “crazy jumping” in Sila for the students of the “Francesco Fiorentino”

Two intense days in the fascinating scenery of the Sila those spent by the students of the first and second classes of the Liceo Classico – Artistico “F. Fiorentino ”of Lamezia Terme.

At the center of the sports activities planned by the Sports Science team (Marasco, Monteleone and Viola teachers) are orienteering, archery, and “crazy jumping”. These activities followed the rafting on the Lao in recent days, which saw the children of the third classes as protagonists.

This time the Liceo Fiorentino was a guest of the “Il Granaro” Adventure Park. The boys were thus able to get involved and compete with orienteering, adequately assisted by the park guides. Orienteering is the discipline that teaches orientation and manages to combine fun and learning. At the same time it cancels the fear of being lost, because it teaches the use of maps and compasses.

The pupils tried their hand at adventure trails up to the Murano waterfall. On the trail of the brigands of yesteryear. Archery is among the activities of these days. To rediscover what was for a long time an instrument of defense and hunting and which today is an activity and sporting discipline. And beyond nature, sport, and legend, there is also the fun jumping on trampolines.
