OM: Milik’s confession

Two months after leaving Juventus Turin, Arkadiusz Milik (28 years old, 8 appearances and 3 goals in Serie A this season) took stock of his time at Olympique de Marseille. The Turin striker believes that he has not been put in the best conditions, but admits that he has not played at his best level.

“I don’t like to say that I’m a ‘great striker’, replied the Pole to the newspaper L’Equipe. Everyone has their characteristics, their way of playing. Sometimes, to use it best, you have to have the right people around you, at the right time, to show all the quality you have. It can happen everywhere, players don’t always manage to express themselves at their best in all teams.”

“At OM, I think I was good, but I could have done better, and I know that. I was good but not very good, and sometimes to take that extra step, especially with my characteristics, you need the right people around, who also play for you”, explained Milik, far from being bitter in evoking his Marseille adventure.
