Oltretorrente Group: Saturday and Sunday the 13th Memorial “Erasmo Mallozzi”

Over the weekend, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October 2022, the 13th edition of the youth football, baseball and softball tournament “Memorial Erasmo Mallozzi” is scheduled.

The event will be organized by the Oltretorrente baseball and softball group, the “Aquila-Longhi” club, Lions Club Bardi Valceno and Aics (Italian Culture Sport Association) at the “Franchini” fields in via Volturno, “Ex Gialloblù” and at fields 3 in the center sports “Aldo Notari” and will be sponsored by the Municipality of Parma, the Province of Parma, the Parma Union of Industrialists, the National Union of Veterans of Sport, Panathlon, Fibs, the Italian baseball and softball federation and Coni.

The event, named after the figure of Erasmo Mallozzi, a great entrepreneur and sportsman at 360 °, passionate about the exploits of Parma Calcio who followed at the Tardini stadium and during away matches. Born in Latina but Parmesan by adoption, in 1968 he founded the company “Supervinilica” and in 1973 the “Maller”, in San Polo di Torrile, specialized in components for furniture. Panathlete, member of the Lions Valceno, councilor of the Parma section of the National Union of Veterans of Sport, from which he received the Sant’Ilario Award for Sport in 2004, Mallozzi has supported as sponsors several clubs in the most disparate sports disciplines, such as football, baseball, cycling, volleyball and handball.

The program foresees for the Under 12 baseball category at the “Franchini” field on Saturday at 3 pm the match between Oltretorrente and Collecchio, at 4.30 pm between Modena and Reggio Rays. On Sunday at 8:30 the final for the 3-4th place is scheduled, at 10 the final for the 1-2nd place. At the “ex Gialloblù” field, Sunday 9 October, a 7-a-side football tournament dedicated to the Beginners 2012 with at 8:45 Team Crociati against Polisportiva Inzani, at 9:30 Audace and San Leo, at 10:15 final 3rd-4th place, at 11 am final for 1st-2nd place. At the “Notari 3” field the Under 13 softball category tournament: Saturday 8 at 16 Old Parma-Crocetta, Sunday 9 at 10 Crocetta-Old Parma. During the event the association Verso il Sereno will be present. All the teams’ awards on Sunday at the “Franchini” field at 12 noon.
