The Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Shinji Shimada, hereinafter “B.LEAGUE”) is a “B.LEAGUE Monthly MVP by Japan” that recognizes one player who has performed the most brilliantly every month. Postal 2022-23″ will be implemented.
“B.LEAGUE Monthly MVP by Japan Post” will set up a new selection committee from the 2022-23 season and select one person every month. The selection committee consists of Mr. Chris Sasaki, Mr. Takejou Shonaka, Mr. Ryogo Matsushima, Mr. Dai Tamura, as well as B MY HERO! correspondents. A selection committee will be held monthly to determine the winners.
As a supplementary prize, the winning athlete will receive an award plaque with an original illustration of the winning athlete drawn by artist Dai Tamura, and a hometown parcel from Japan Post Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President Kazuhide Kinugawa). We will also carry out a prediction campaign for Monthly MVP winners. Participants will be selected by lottery to receive an original postcard with an illustration and autograph of the winning player.
Monthly MVP winners will be announced on the 3rd Monday of every month around 16:00 on the official website, B.LEAGUE official Twitter, and the special feature page of Sports Navi.

Born in New York in 1980 to a Japanese father and an American mother, and grew up in Tokyo from the age of four. He was fascinated by the NBA when he was 14 years old, and switched from the baseball club to the basketball club. When he was at Aoyama Gakuin University, he won an intercollegiate championship, and since the age of 30, he has been active as a professional player in the bj league for two seasons. He became a B.LEAGUE official analyst in the 2017-18 season, and is in charge of B.League game commentary and tactical analysis commentary in various media. He strives to popularize the B League.

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1984.
After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he belonged to JBL Toyota Motor Alvark (now: Alvark Tokyo) from 2007 and played 13 seasons until the 2019-2020 season. He captained the club for 10 seasons from 2010 and retired in 2020. While working for a general company, he supports the B League with his children as a basketball fan and as a father of three children.
