Berlin (AP) – – Alba Berlin’s national basketball player Maodo Lo has not yet given up the dream of moving to the NBA, but does not want to force it either.
“I don’t want to come hell or high water just to get there. I have often rejected such options,” said the 29-year-old Berliner to rbb. “My priority in my career so far has been to always develop and get better. That’s how it will continue to be.” The best basketball league in the world has always been a dream and goal of his, but “it has to fit and the situation has to be right”.
Lo had won bronze with Germany at the European Basketball Championships in the summer and showed strong performances. NBA professional and national team colleague Dennis Schröder described him as the next German player who will make it into the league.
