The KNVB has not contacted Feyenoord about the decision to reject Giménez’s goal against NEC. Last year, PSV received an apology from the football association after the club from Eindhoven conceded an unjust penalty in De Kuip.

Trainer Arne Slot indicates that it has now remained quiet from the KNVB, it reports General Newspaper. “That really only happened once,” says Slot about the excuse that PSV received. “It hasn’t happened now. I don’t know whether it was necessary either. Ninety percent thought Gimenez’s action was a clean goal, I estimate.”

Slot also looks at his own team. “In the future, we should no longer depend on a moment in the final minute. But it can help if you just get what you are entitled to. I thought it was a clean goal,” concludes the coach.
