The Joker is a prankster. Double reigning MVP, Nikola Jokic will start a new NBA season with the Denver Nuggets tonight. And for the first time since April 12, 2021, he will be lined up with his teammate and friend Jamal Murray. The Canadian leader is making his return after many months of absence following a knee injury. Jokic is excited to find him, to the point of dropping a little joke.
Nikola Jokic, on his excitement of playing with Jamal Murray again: “I love to play with him, of course. I know he’s gonna be really bad for the next 20 games, but we’re gonna survive.”

“I love playing with him, of course. I know he’s going to be really bad for the next 20 games but we’re going to survive.”
A way also to lower the pressure around Murray, inevitably a little anxious before resuming in a different context from the preseason. On the other hand, Nikola Jokic is not completely wrong. His comrade will need time to get back into the rhythm and regain his level of play. Anyway, the Nuggets are playing Jazz tonight. Not the most stressful of encounters.
