NFL: Miami Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater trains lightly

Miami Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will practice on the field Thursday on a limited, non-contact basis while still following concussion protocol, NFL Network reports.

The team’s No. 1 quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who is also on concussion protocol, also returned to the practice field Wednesday.

With Bridgewater and Tagovailoa still in protocol, rookie Skylar Thompson will be the starting quarterback against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Bridgewater replaced the injured Tagovailoa on Sept. 29 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but was injured last week against the New York Jets.

After their game against Minnesota, the Dolphins will host the Pittsburgh Steelers the following week.
