NFL: Ja’Marr Chase suffers hip injury; absence of 4 to 6 weeks to be expected

The Cincinnati Bengals’ convincing victory over the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday will have been costly, as receiver Ja’Marr Chase finds himself out of the game long term.

According to what Adam Schefter reports d’ESPN Thursday, Chase suffers a hip injury that will keep him in the infirmary for four to six weeks.

Schefter expects the young star wide receiver’s name to end up on the disabled list.

Chase visited a specialist on Wednesday, and the Bengals are seeking further medical advice on the process for the 5th overall pick in the 2021 draft.

In Cincy’s 35-17 win, Chase caught eight balls from Joe Burrow for 130 yards and two touchdowns, his 5th and 6th of the season.

However, we saw him leave the match in the second half, visibly inconvenienced by a lower body injury.
