“I am leaving for Spain to continue my professional growth and development as a coach,” he wrote on Saturday.

But the coach from Ponce clarified that his visit to the Motherland will not affect his ties with the champions of the National Superior Basketball (BSN) nor with the Puerto Rican national team. It is more of a combination of factors that Columbus will take advantage of.

Through written messages, he indicated that he does not have any job offers from the ACB league teams and that the visit is more to visit his in-laws, time that he will take advantage of to carry out other activities.

“I’m only going for two weeks to watch workouts, talk to coaches and general managers,” Colon said. “I will be watching the teams from Barcelona, ​​BAXI Manresa and Club Joventut Badalona”.

“I have not signed in Spain. I am going to visit my in-laws and I will take the opportunity for that, ”she added.

In July, the 39-year-old coach, who has won four BSN crowns, lost a game in the quarterfinal series when he traveled to the United States to conduct interviews with NBA organizations such as the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors.
