NBA: Theo Maledon to Charlotte

The young (21) international tricolor leader will sign a “two-way” contract with the Hornets.

Théo Maledon did not take long to find a buyer. Cut off by Houston a few days ago, the young (21) international tricolor leader (21 caps) will commit to Charlotte as part of a “two way contract” as reported by Shams Charania from The Athletics and Stadiums. Clearly, the former Asvel player will navigate between the NBA and the G-League in 2022-23.

Chosen in 34th position in the 2020 Draft by the 76ers, Maledon, silver medalist in Blue at the Euro, spent his first two NBA seasons with Oklahoma City, who sent him to Houston this summer. He will therefore never have worn the Rockets jersey before joining the franchise of Michael Jordan, who posted averages of 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in his career (116 games).
