Montreuil-Bellay. Judo trains on Wednesdays at the dojo

On Wednesday afternoon at the Gaston-Amy complex in Montreuil-Bellay, judo takes possession of the dojo. Judo, literally a way of flexibility, allows you to exert yourself physically, teaches self-control, respect for others, but also to fall, which is useful at any age. summarizes René Boury, who was the club’s coach until 2004. Judo lessons began in Montreuil-Bellay in 1968 in a room at the Edgard-Pisani agricultural high school, before being held at the Prieuré des Nobis until in 2000. Since then, they have taken place in the dojo of the Gaston-Amy sports complex. Recently, the courses are provided by Youri Lecossec, a qualified trainer, the Montreuil club being a branch of the Racing-club de Doué. Classes take place every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for children aged 3 to 6 and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for children aged 7 to 10.
