Model Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, the most successful American football player ever, have made it known that they have filed for divorce. They announced it separately on their Instagram profiles and said they made this decision “amicably” and “with gratitude for our time together.” The two began their relationship in 2006 and married in 2009: together they have two children aged 9 and 12.
In February Brady announced the end of his playing career, only to decide to play another season in the National Football League (NFL) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. These news had led the gossip newspapers to hypothesize a crisis between Brady and Bundchen already a few months ago.
