Minister Danho promises to honor federation medalists on Sports Merit Day

Abidjan, Minister of Sports, Paulin Claude Daznho, has promised federations to honor their athletes who have won medals on the occasion of the next national day of sports merit scheduled soon, indicates an information note from the ministry. on the facebook page.

Mr. Danho gave the information, Monday, October 3, 2022, in Abidjan, during a reception ceremony for the medalists of the third quarter of this year, at his cabinet located in the commune of Plateau. During the audience, he conveyed the pride and recognition of the State of Côte d’Ivoire and congratulated the athletes and their coaches for carrying the torch of the country internationally.

“At the level of national sports policy and in the vision of the development of sport at government level and on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, we must ensure that sport affects the daily lives of Ivorians and all diapers. All sports have the same value of promoting the image of our country. That is why I am very happy to welcome you,” he said.

The harvest, during the period mentioned above, was 22 medals namely four gold, five silver, and 13 bronze won by the athletes.

The Ivorian pachyderms climbed to the top step of the podium during the 9th edition of the Maracana African Cup organized in Cameroon from September 22 to 24, 2022, winning the gold medal.

At the level of the badminton federation, the Ivorians gleaned three gold medals, two silver and 11 bronze at the African Para-Badminton Championship which took place from September 13 to 24 in Uganda.

The Paralympic federation obtained at the end of the international meeting of para-athletics in Marrakech, disputed from September 11 to 18, in Morocco, three silver medals and two bronze medals.
