After another defeat, Milan must start to worry about an extended stay in the Champions League. With one man less and without the injured Charles De Ketelaere, the Milanese also lost the return match against Chelsea: 0-2.
After barely fifteen minutes Chelsea could already reach out to victory. Fikayo Tomori was shown red for holding Mason Mount, Jorginho converted the penalty.
Not much later, Giroud missed a good chance to equalize and that broke the Frenchman’s heart. Aubameyang was able to score on the other side and took all hopes away from the home team.
After the break, Sergino Dest was still close to scoring the goal, but Chelsea were no longer in trouble. With the important three-pointer, the London club jumps to the top of group E.
