The former champion of Cuenca Europe Manuel Massó has died this Wednesday at the age of 67at his home in Mahón (Menorca), after a long illness.

Massó (El Pedernoso, 1955), was Spanish amateur flyweight champion in 1971 and bantamweight in 1972. His greatest success was the title of European featherweight champion conquered in 1977 against Nino Jiménez.

His professional debut came on September 28, 1973 in Barcelona, ​​where he beat Francisco Santaengracia by points, and finished his career in 1986 when he was 36 years old and had 45 fights: 41 wins, 3 losses and one null.
