The Mandalika Circuit is currently being re-paved in preparation for the FIM World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in November 2022. The circuit, located in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, is being re-paved using a new material formula.
The Managing Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Priandhi Satria explained, revamping the track or track improvement The Mandalika Circuit will be completed this week.

Even so, Priandhi said that Dromo as a consultant had found the right asphalt mixture for this circuit. “Dromo, a consultant who has built dozens of circuits in the world, has made new ingredients. They have brought stones from Indonesia and asphalt compounding is carried out in Germany and Italy. According to them, this is a new mixture,” he said.
Apart from the main track, track improvement what is done is widening run off and deer. “Deer which used to be regular became misano deer. So deer and run off finished and just beautify or paint it. The target is for everything to be completed on October 25-27,” he said.
Priandi also revealed that Dorna Sports is satisfied with track improvement Mandalika Circuit. Last week Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and Dorna Sports Chief Sporting Director Carlos Ezpeleta met with stakeholders, including SOE Minister Erick Thohir in Jakarta.
