Therefore the government has decided to demolish the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium and rebuilt it according to FIFA standards.

Where one of the agreements taken between the government and FIFA is to ensure the safety of players and spectators in the stadium.

Because the condition of the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium, which is the headquarters of Arema Malang, is considered to have a number of parts that are not in accordance with FIFA standards so that it does not guarantee the safety of players and spectators.

These improvements include repairing the stairs of the stands, especially the economic tribune, stadium doors that have no distance from the stairs and the elevation is too steep, as well as improvements to stadium lighting.

Then it is also necessary to repair the restrooms, make a guardrail or perimeter between the spectator stands and the field and the construction of a monument to commemorate the tragedy of October 1st.
