A 19-year-old Ajaccien filed a complaint for violence and degradation after being attacked on the night of Friday to Saturday in Ajaccio by a group of supposed ultra supporters of Paris SG, the prosecution confirmed to AFP. Confirming the initial information from France Bleu RCFM (the Corsican antenna of the radio station), the Ajaccio prosecutor’s office specified that a brawl would have broken out in the city center between “ultra individuals from the PSG who would be taken from a young Corsican whom they would have assaulted and whose car they would have damaged”.
These facts would have taken place a few hours after the Ligue 1 meeting between AC Ajaccio and PSG on Friday evening, won 3-0 by the Parisians. Testifying on the airwaves of RCFM, the victim, who was circulating in the district of the courthouse, indicated that he had suffered numerous blows, some of them with “an iron bar”. He said he was not an AC Ajaccio supporter and did not even follow the match.
Around 2 a.m., he was with his friends and were in his vehicle when they all saw a “heap of people” arriving, recognized as being PSG supporters: “I stayed in my car, without understanding what was going on. was happening, explains the young Ajaccien, the only one who could not have fled, to RCFM. They opened the car, hit me with motorcycle gloves, iron bars. There were seven of them on top of me…” The blows rained down on the car, which was particularly damaged as the images show.
Among the small group of friends, one of them spotted the logos of Parisian ultras on their t-shirts. “We heard a lot of anti-Corsican words like we’re going to kill you band of Corsicans, he says. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time.” He also claims “that none of them” was at the François-Coty stadium. Gazélec supporters, they “did not even follow the match”.
An investigation for violence and degradation has been opened and entrusted to the departmental directorate of public security, confirmed the prosecution, without giving further details. Also according to RCFM, a PSG supporter was also injured in the face near the stadium.
