Lewandowski saves Barcelona from losing in injury time

“Barcelona” played a draw against Milan “Inter” with the result 3:3 (1:0) in the C subgroup game.

In the 40th minute of the first half, Usmans Dembele put the home team in the lead, but the opponents needed only five minutes in the second half to equalize with a goal scored by Nicolo Barrell.

In the 63rd minute, Lautaro Martinez made it 2:1 for Milan. The Barcelona team equalized the score again only in the 82nd minute, when Lewandowski scored his first goal in the match.

A minute before the end of regular time, “Inter” took the lead when Robin Goossens sent the ball into the home team’s goal, but the Milan team could not save the victory. In the second minute of compensation time, “Barcelona” was saved from failure by Lewandowski, who scored the second goal of the match.

Meanwhile, in another match of subgroup C, “Bayern” Munich defeated “Viktoria” Pilsen from the Czech Republic 4:2 (4:0).

In the first half, Sadio Mane and Thomas Miller scored one goal each for the visiting team, followed by two goals from Leon Gorecki.

In the second half, Ādams Vlkanovs and Jans Kliments stood out for the hosts with accurate shots.

After four rounds in subgroup C, the team from Munich is the leader, having won 12 points and secured a place in the round of 16. “Inter” is in the second place with seven points, “Barcelona” is in the third place with four points, and “Viktoria” is in the fourth position, which has not got any points.

32 teams play in the main tournament of the UEFA Champions League. The two best teams of each subgroup will advance to the round of 16, while the third-placed team will continue their season in the UEFA Europa League knockout tournament.
