On Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered their third loss in as many games in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The club lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 104:106, and Lakers head coach Darwin Hamm replaced point guard Russell Westbrook at the end of the game.
”We don’t have time to think about other people’s feelings. We are trying to correct the situation here,” answered the head coach, when asked if the decision could have any effect on the relationship between the two. “I don’t have time to think about how someone will feel about me being on the field or not being on the field,” continued the coach, who added that he was not satisfied with the selected shots on offense.
“I feel like this is an interview where they’re trying to bait me into saying something about this,” LeBron James told reporters about Russell Westbrook’s mention. ”I can tell you that I see – you are on the subject of Russell Westbrook. I don’t like to lose. Especially the way we lost that game against Portland. You can write and talk about Russell, but I won’t. I have said it several times that it is not in my nature.”
James continued that after the third loss, all the players felt bad. ”If you’re around players who get excited about losing, you’re in the worst company.” Another Los Angeles leader, Anthony Davis, revealed that the team just needs to play better offensively, because so far the defensive game is not that bad. This is also proven by the statistics, where it ranks 12th in the league in points scored per game (110.7 points), but it has the third worst score in points scored (103.3 points scored).
The schedule of the upcoming games does not seem easy for Los Angeles either. Of the next three games, two should be played against the Denver Nuggets, and one against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and November will begin with two matches against the Utah Jazz, as well as games against the New Orleans Pelicans and Cleveland Cavaliers.
