Kyrgios has trouble – Djokovic and Medvedev easily continue

Djokovic makes short work – Medvedev now against Bautista Agut

Novak Djokovic easily reached the quarterfinals at the ATP tournament in Astana. The number four seeded Serb beat Botic van de Zandschulp (Netherlands) in 1:10 hours 6:3, 6:1. Djokovic meets Karen Khachanov in the last eight on Friday.

Second seed Daniil Medvedev also secured his place in the quarterfinals. A 6-3, 6-2 win against Finn Emil Ruusuvuori saw the 2021 US Open winner advance and play against Roberto Bautista Agut (Spain) on Friday.

Djokovic, who was not present at the US Open in September due to a lack of a corona vaccination, had already convinced with dominant performances when he won the tournament in Tel Aviv. The 21-time Grand Slam champion has not lost a set since winning the Wimbledon final. Medvedev had recently lost his opening match at the tournament in Metz.
