Kolář also returned to the gate of Slavia after the wedding. He had to earn a zero. An injury to Mandous? Two options

The last time he was in goal was in a competitive match in April in the superstructure against Hradec Králové, with whom the red and white fell 3:4. Since then, Ondřej Kolář has been securing Aleš Mandous, possibly treating his injuries. He returned on Sunday against Slovan. “But it’s never pleasant when it’s at the expense of another goalkeeper’s injury,” Kolář referred to the competitor’s struggles.

Mandouse’s problems are more long-term and somewhat mysterious. “It has been going on since the match with Panathinaikos. Problems persist. During the national team break, Aleš underwent a minor operation, and another thing was found during it. Now there are two options. Either he will continue to catch with difficulty, or he will undergo an operation, after which he would be absent for a long time,” outlined Mandous’s condition Slavist coach Jindřich Trpišovský.

He will leave the decision to the current number one goalkeeper. The health problem should not worsen, but Mandous feels pain at every training session.

Kolář seemed calm against Liberec. “It reminded me of the time when he was at his peak,” praised Trpišovský. “I’m glad that I caught again. It was difficult for me after such a time. The boys played well at the back, without mistakes except for the one at the end,” concluded Kolář after a comfortable 3-0 win.

The pause didn’t show on him. “I was a bit afraid of the footwork, but it worked out for the most part,” he grinned. And in the first minute of set-up, he made a good save against Matyáš Kozák’s shot. “Every goalkeeper knows how difficult it is to stay focused in a match like this. I don’t even know, how quickly it happened. But I’m glad I kept zero,” Kolář said.

He had to accept the role of number two. “I bit it hard like any player. But I knew myself that the form was not optimal. In addition, my back hurt, Aleš was performing great,” he looked back. “When you get a chance, you want to take it. Aleš did that, now I believe that I will succeed. it’s a pity that Aleš has health problems, I’m never happy when I catch at the expense of an injured colleague,” Kolář added.

The most important thing for him at the moment is that he is 100% fit. “I went to individual training sessions with the goalkeeping coach Štěpán Kolář, I kept improving. I feel good,” the Slavist goalkeeper nodded.

His well-being is enhanced by the fact that he married the daughter of club boss Jaroslav Tvrdík during the international break. “It’s pleasant. I was really looking forward to it, everything worked out including the weather, which you can’t influence. But we had a great time. Some guys who were on the national team just couldn’t make it. But I’m happy that everything worked out,” he returned to a happy day in his personal life.

Now he believes that pleasant moments will occur more often on the field as well.
