Judo-Worlds 2022: Japan hovers over Tashkent

The lanterns went out on the judo worlds in Tashkent in Uzbekistan this Thursday, October 13, 2022. Leaving with the hope of bringing back a medal, the Ivorian team fell far from this objective. No medal was gleaned by the Ivorians. In the medal table, Japan finished first in both individual and mixed teams

Zoulehia Dsubscription, the highest ranked Ivorian was released at the stage of the 16th finals. The others couldn’t have done better. They all missed these worlds. Like the Ivorian selection, the African continent struggled in this world contest hosted by Tashkent.

In the medal table, Japan comes in first position with 12 charms (5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze) followed by Brazil 4 medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze) and Uzbekistan (2 gold). In the mixed team, Japan again shone ahead of France, Germany and Israel. A total of 85 countries took part in this international contest over seven days.
