Despite its accession to the LNA won brilliantly this weekend in Neuchâtel, the women’s team of Judo Jura will remain in the regional league next season. Jurassic judokas will indeed refuse their promotion, “due to lack of sufficient numbers to race for a whole year against the best teams in the country”, writes the club in a press release. “But the idea of a climb in the years to come is in everyone’s mind, and Judo Jura could well be tempted to build a project around this objective. During the promotion-relegation finals on Saturday in Neuchâtel, Judo Jura ladies brilliantly won 8-2 against JC Nippon St-Gall, last of the LNA, and lost on the wire 6-4 in front of JC Stade Lausanne, regional league leader against whom the Jurassiennes had lost twice 10-0 during the season.
Brugg loses despite the victory of Jura player Loan Celikbilek
Among the men, the Jura player Loan Celikbilek was engaged in the final of the LNA championship with his club Brugg. If he won his fight at -66kg, his team unfortunately lost 10-4 against Uster and finished vice-champion of Switzerland. /comm-jpi
