WEIZ (before). Gerald Grössig achieved the bronze medal in judo at the Austrian Championships in Weiz. It was the only medal for the Pinzgau Judo Union. His brother Thomas Grössig also showed strong judo and narrowly lost the fight for the finals up to 73 kg. In the bronze medal fight he injured his elbow and could no longer fight. The youngsters Daniel Schager, Daniel Pail and Peter Reiter fought courageously, but were eliminated in the preliminary round and took good tournament experience home with them.
