John Paul Varillas continues to leave the name of the country high in international competitions. On this occasion, the Peruvian tennis player advanced to the round of 16 of the Challenger in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) after beating Andre Collarini.

The Argentine athlete took the first set with 6-4 and complicated the national representative’s serve. However, the popular ‘Juanpi’ responded and, after a fairly even partial, defeated by 7-6.

Then, Varillas won the third set comfortably 6-1. Now, he will face another Argentine rival, but this time he will collide with Genaro Olivieri with the aim of seeking the pass to the quarterfinals.

The news of the classification of the Peruvian tennis player became a trend in social networks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and users congratulated him. In the same way, they expressed the desire to see him lift the championship trophy.
