Without a club since leaving OM this summer, Jorge Sampaoli returns to Sevilla FC. He had already led the Andalusian club in the 2016/2017 season, leaving good memories despite a more difficult end. The Argentinian takes over from Julen Lopetegui, landed after the heavy defeat in the Champions League this Wednesday at home against Borussia Dortmund (4-1).
“Sevilla FC and Jorge Sampaoli have reached an agreement for the Argentinian coach to become the new coach of the first team, for his second stage at the helm of the club. He signed for what is left of the season and an additional year, until 2024., indicates the Andalusian club. Sampaoli will have to straighten out the sporting situation of the club, currently 17th in La Liga after 7 rounds.
