John Wall about to turn the tables on the Clippers?!

The Clippers’ flagship rookie during the offseason, John Wall knows he has a lot to prove after 3 very complicated years, marked by serious injuries and a very tormented mental situation. But the point guard has solid leather, so much so that he is about to possibly reshuffle the cards at the Clippers. Already.

When John Wall landed at the Clippers this summer, the question of his status arose. Despite his absence for more than a year, he who had been shelved at the Rockets, the point guard is still a player capable of turning 18 points and 10 average assists every night while providing defense. However, the former Wizard arrives in a team used to operating around Reggie Jackson, and, of course, doubts about his physical condition remain.

It had been established from the outset by Tyronn Lue that the competition would be open between the two men during the training camp and then the pre-season, and this one delivered its lessons. Sometimes titular and sometimes substitute, J-Wall released overall convincing scores… to the point of casting doubt in the mind of Tyronn Lue.

John Wall replacing the Clippers for good?

Asked by the media, the Clipps coach dropped this cryptic statement:

Tyronn Lue on who will start the matches between Reggie Jackson and John Wall: “I thought I knew, but I’m not so sure anymore”.

With his solid performances, coupled with a more inside and particularly clumsy Reggie Jackson during the pre-season, John Wall could well have already swayed his coach. Will he be the holder on the first night of the season, conductor of these Clippers versions 2022-2023? In any case, it is much more likely than a few weeks ago.

To make matters worse, Wall can also count on the support of a lot of people, including from Shaquille O’Neal. The fans hold a similar speech, they who think that he should immediately be confirmed as holder:

Give the job to John. I feel like he played better in pre-season.

Well in his head and in his basketball for the first time in many years, John Wall is determined to remind everyone that at 32, he is still capable of starting in a big team. The former Washington has done the job, and the thorny decision is now in the hands of Tyronn Lue… who has quite a headache to solve!
