Jakob Pöltl is sitting in his sparsely furnished apartment in Tobin Hill, a northern part of San Antonio. The wall behind him is white, so he no longer needs to decorate it. “I’m relaxed, the routine has fully set in,” says Pöltl. His ego has never stood in his way. The 27-year-old from Vienna is in his seventh NBA season, his three-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs, for which he collects $ 26.5 million, expires in the summer.
