Iván Arboleda announces the termination of his contract with Rayo

Iván Arboleda will no longer continue with Rayo Vallecano. The goalkeeper reported through his social networks that he ended the contract that linked him to the Spanish team. Now he is a free agent and it is expected that they will make it official in some other club where he continues his career. The player was at the club from September 4, 2021.

“Rayo Vallecano and I have managed to reach a mutual agreement to terminate my contract”, expressed the goalkeeper in a brief statement that he shared. Last August 8 was the last time that Arboleda played and he did it with Newell’s in the 3-1 defeat against Gimnasia de La Plata in the Argentine League.

“I want to thank all the fans of Rayo Vallecano and Newell’s for the support and understanding given during this time. A new path begins and I feel better than ever to travel it, thanks to God”, added the Colombian in his words.

The illusion of Grove in Lightning was short-lived

On September 4, 2021, the arrival of Iván Arboleda at Rayo Vallecano became official. He became a teammate of Falcao García, but was never able to play in an official match with the Spanish team. Without adding a single minute, the goalkeeper lent himself to Newell’s where he played 720 minutes with the Argentines.

Now, he is a free agent and has no team. He will have to look for options to continue his professional career after the controversy he had with Rayo Vallecano in recent months due to the contractual issue and that he was already able to resolve by mutual agreement to end the contract he had. “I don’t know anything about Rayo, they have treated me like a criminal”, said Grove at the time.
