It hadn’t been a secret for a few months: Chimaev has strong ties with the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. One of his recent Instagram posts also shows that he recently rubbed shoulders with him, which in no way reassures Internet users in the actual context. It turns out that Borz didn’t just pose with the head of state, since he also agreed to take the beating… from his sons during a training session:

These photos, shared by Khamzat himself, are surprising. Indeed, despite his good relationship with Kadyrov, the welterweight star had little interest in publishing these unflattering images where he suffered the law of simple teenagers. For the Twittos, only one explanation would hold water: Chimaev would have accepted to ridicule himself in this way under the constraint of Kadyrov:

Is there any way to confirm he’s being threatened/black-mailed into this? No. Does that mean we can dismiss it as a possibility? Fuck no. Khamzat is likely a victim here. He’s very prideful. I don’t see him doing this for some money. The whole situation just sucks.

Supposedly free of his movements in Russia, Khamzat Chimaev would however undergo pressure there from Ramzan Kadyrov, who would have notably forced him to post these humiliating pictures with the sons of the Chechen president. A new theory that makes noise!
