IQBAL Gwijangge will be absent from defending the U-17 Indonesian National Team in the last match of the U-17 Asian Cup Qualification 2023. Seeing this, the Bima Sakti coach is not worried that his team will lose an important player.

As is known, Iqbal Gwijangge will be absent due to the accumulation of yellow cards. The yellow card was received by Iqbal Gwijangge when the team nicknamed Garuda Asia won 2-0 over Palestine in the preliminary round of Group B Qualifying for the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, Friday 7 October 2022.

Not only that, Iqbal Gwijangge also suffered an injury in the match. Bima Sakti said there were still other player options to replace Iqbal Gwijangge.

According to the former retainer of the Indonesian national team, his squad has all ready players. It also calmed him down a bit.

The 46-year-old coach said there were several names that could fill the vacant position left by Iqbal Gwijangge. Therefore, the appearance of other players will be as good as the captain.

“Iqbal, we can install many other players, there are Andre, Femas, Afazriel. So, I don’t think there is a problem,” continued Bima Sakti.

In addition, Bima Sakti said that under various conditions, his team was ready to fight Malaysia in the final match of Group B Qualification for the 2022 U-17 Asian Cup. Because the U-17 Indonesian National Team had already pocketed the strength of Malaysia.

“To play against Malaysia, we judge all the players as good. We have taken videos of their games. Not only the U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, but also since the AFF Cup,” he said.

Just to inform you, currently the U-17 Indonesian National Team is at the top of Group B for the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification. Garuda Asia has successfully pocketed nine points after winning in the previous three matches against Guam, UAE, and Palestine.

Arkhan Kaka and colleagues are scheduled to play the last match against Malaysia U-17 on Sunday 9 October 2022 at 20.00 at Pakansari Stadium, Bogo.
