Nine days before the start of the European title fight, the Dutch handball players have gained a lot of self-confidence. In the Golden League, global superpower Norway was defeated 33-24 in front of its own audience.

Angela Malenstein was named best player of the match in Stavanger. She was good for seven hits and thus top scorer. At the beginning of this month, the Norwegian women in the Golden League were still supreme: 27-19.

The team of national coach Per Johansson was in no way inferior to the reigning world and European champions. The Swede in Dutch service took the opportunity to include the young pair Kim Molenaar and Pipy Wolfs in his judging corps.

Fifteen minutes before the end, he also reserved playing time for Dione Housheer. It was the first time in a month that the right construction player was inside the lines, after she had struggled with a thumb injury for several weeks.

The Orange squad, which will also meet Brazil on Saturday as part of the Golden League, will start the European title fight on November 5 in Skopje with a game against Romania.
