On the first day of the DEM U18, the male judoka fought for the medals. A total of 39 starters from Saxony went onto the tatami. Martin Schmidt and Philipp Geißler acted as Saxon judges as well as another 11 JVS judges as administrators.
At the end of a long day of competition, a total of 4 Saxon athletes fought for a medal. Illia Woloshin (+90kg / JC Leipzig) secured the bronze medal. Three times fifth place for Moritz Dornick, Leon Hubert (both JC Leipzig) and Florian Görsch (JC RBS Leipzig) and twice seventh place (Gregor Lindner/TSV 1896 Lichtenberg and Paul Weinhold/SV Falkenbach) completed the result.
Tomorrow the women U18 will start and fight for the medals with our EM starter Tanja Hanschmann (JCL).
